Hearts bringing the Scottish Cup back to Gorgie in 1998 and 2006
Hi. My name is David Chappell and I was brought into
this world in March 1956 at the Simpson's maternity Hospital in Edinburgh
I am still on my first marriage and celebrated my 28th wedding anniversary in
2009
I have three kids Karen who is 25 Andrew and Caroline who are twins of 22 years.
My long suffering wife Penny is a year older than me you can work out her age
for yourself).
My overriding passion in life is football and as a follower
of Heart Of Midlothian Football Club I am resigned to being one of life's great
losers.
The picture above is of Hearts returning to Tyncastle
with the Scottish Cup in May 1998.
That day will remain in my memory as one of the greatest days of my life and
hope it can be repeated before I leave this world for pastures new.
It was my 7th cup final with Hearts the previous 6 ending in tears so you can
see why I count it as the greatest day of my life.
I now have witnessed a second Scottish cup win so I can now go to my grave a happy and satisfied man. if you hover the mouse over the picture you will see Hearts returning to Gorgie with the Scottish cup in may 2006.
